Russian experts assume that water is very profitable to sell to China, the Middle East and North Africa.
 
Russia is trying to diversify its exports. In 2012, oil and other energy sources accounted for 71% of Russian exports.

Greenland

Returned to the area in the spring of 2013 with suitable drilling equipment and were able to extract ice cores (old compacted snow) temperature sensors and enter through the holes to liquid water, which turned out to be zero. The aquifer is about twelve feet deep from the surface and reaches the 37 meters at the bottom.
 
Foster explains that, apparently, the aquifer is not a recent phenomenon, which has been there a long time.
